Tendayi Mutimukuru-Maravanyika is a Zimbabwean lady who holds: a PhD in participatory action research from Wageningen University in the Netherlands; an MSc degree in Management of Agriculture Knowledge and Information Systems from the same University in the Netherlands; a BSc Agriculture Honors degree. Tendayi has more than 20 years’ experience in designing and implementing participatory action research projects in many African Countries (Ghana; Uganda, Zambia, Zimbabwe and Ethiopia) in three main fields (fisheries, agriculture and forestry) to deal with complex challenges that communities face. Tendayi has used gender transformative approaches in all her work to challenge existing norms and values that deter women from participating meaningfully in all the projects she implemented. Tendayi is currently a lecturer at Great Zimbabwe University.
